On-site vs off-site construction

Wow, I never noticed it before, but it looks like we really picked up speed with the DIY projects in the last half of the year.

I started out a couple of weeks ago by painting the ugly glossy forest green door this fun barn red and from there I was pretty much unstoppable, as I’m sure you’ll be able to tell..The sugar beet field near our house was harvested last week and they knocked over a bunch of neighboring corn stalks in the process.

Of course we were all over that..I reused my Spring wreath from last year and just added a little $1 fall sprig leftover from last year. It’ll have to since I dropped the original wreath I was using and broke it.

How do you break a wreath? There’s that mason jar again..

I picked up this great doormat from Superstore when we moved in for $6.

I love you, President’s Choice! He must have been reading over my shoulder cause the guy went and finished the darn steps.

Right out from underneath me and my beloved blog.. Now it’s still a big ol’ mess back there, but it’s definitely not as ridiculous as having just the two bottom steps and then nothing.. Our house had this big long giant humongous ramp across the entire back of the house. He’s been working at tearing that down to make room for a big ground level patio.

At the time I took these photos, at least that little project was still half-done..He went and finished tearing that down too!
